Received word from VFP National on September 16, 2008, that we have been approved as Chapter 156, of the Rogue Valley, OR. As a part of the mythical State of Jefferson, cities located in the Rogue Valley of Oregon include Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Medford, White City, Central Point, Eagle Point, Rogue River, Jacksonville and Grants Pass, as well as "outlyers" such as Applegate, Ruch and Gold Hill, within Jackson and Josephine Counties. Our first meeting was on October 1, 2008.

We also work with Peace House in Ashland, forming a Valley-wide network of peace related organizations, as presented in Medford's Mail Tribune article. We work on various projects, including educating our youth about the realities of the military and alternatives to enlistment.

As a fledging Chapter, we are looking for new members dedicated to what has become an international peace movement.

Right: The Living Peace Mandala courtesy of The Association of Global New Thought (AGNT).
This is the Season for Nonviolence's gift to all of YOU who have worked and prayed so diligently and devotedly to bring more peace and less violence to our world, locally and globally. The Mandala is a flexible and interactive icon meant to be used for reflection, contemplation, and meditation. It can be used by any individual in private, within your family, or in any group that gathers for peaceful reflection on a higher way to live in consciousness.
